Did a seminar/talk/thing at work last week about Mozilla stuff, mainly
concentrating on the fact that I soon plan to roll out a copy of Mozilla
Firebird to be the default web browser on every desktop.
Interest was generally high. People liked the idea of
tabbed-browsing and popup-blocking. Also did a short bit about Mozilla Thunderbird as
a possible email client for future use – provoked plenty of positive
discussion about its junk mail filtering capabilities.
Anyway, to encourage everyone to actually use Mozilla, I
burned a few CDs with installation programs on them and left them
lying around in the coffee room. They all seem to have disappeared,
so either there’s some genuine interest or they’re all just having
me on … Seems encouraging, nonetheless.
