Much Debian-ness, World Cup

I wrote the first version of colordiff ages ago, but only recently have I started to take over the maintainence of the Debian packages for it. As you can see at the developer page the packages I made earlier in the month have now migrated automatically into Testing, which means they’ll be part of the next stable release (“Etch”), due to appear in early 2007.

As an aside, while I was getting the links together for this post, I stumbled across other colour-mark-up projects, in particular colorgcc which nicely colourises the output from the gcc compiler; not that I compile stuff like that very much, but it looks useful.

Oh, yes, and … *clears throat*

EN-GER-LAND!

1-0 against Paraguay and then 2-0 against Trinidad & Tobago takes “us” (like *I* had anything to do with it) through to the next round. Against Germany or Ecuador, depending on the match between those two and on England’s final group game with Sweden on Tuesday.

I really don’t pay much attention to football most of the time, but I do get very involved when it’s the World Cup or European Championships. No idea why that is…
