KOrganizer v. Google Calendar

I’ve been using KOrganizer as my calendar and to-do list management tool at work and I decided to investigate Google Calendar to see how it compares, with a view to possibly switching to it.

This is what I’ve figured out so far…

KOrganizer: has To-Do List with deadline and priorities, calendar events with popup reminders (which can be put off ‘snooze’-style if needed); can use calendars remotely or via exporting, but I haven’t found this works very well – although it’s not so important to me to be able to do that.

Google Calendar: has no To-Do List, although it is rumoured to be On The Way; reminders for calendar events can be sent via SMS, which could be handy, although other reminders are not as flexible as KOrganizer; easy to share calendars or make them available in other forms. Of course the main advantage of Google Calendar is that it is operated from a web browser, making it much more accessible.

I think I’m probably going to stick with KOrganizer, but will consider Google Calendar again once the imminent(?) To-Do/Task management appears.
