Given that the W32\/Gibe-F virus messages were coming in at 5 or 6
\n every hour, I was slightly concerned about what Being Away For Five
\n Days would do to my email accounts. Five days worth of messages at
\n 5 or 6 per hour makes around 5*24*5 = 600 messages. At 150K in size
\n each, that’s a lot of disk space on my incoming mail spool. For all
\n I know, my incoming mail spool with my normal access provider has a
\n quota considerably less than that.<\/p>\n
So I redirected my incoming mail to an alternative location,
\n which doesn’t have a ‘quota’, as such, but has a ‘bandwidth per
\n month’ limit. This was a risk, but it appeared to pay off. Only
\n got about 250 of the viruses in the end anyway, so they appear to be
\n tailing off.<\/p>\n
