No more Outlook Express, no more Internet Explorer

Following the news that Microsoft plan to freeze development of Internet Explorer, they have just announced that they’re stopping development Outlook Express too. This must provide an excellent opportunity for Mozilla Firebird and Mozilla Thunderbird to get their “foot in the door” as replacements for Internet Explorer and Outlook Express respectively, especially as end users… (read more)

It’s a blast!

Hurrah. There’s another Windows worm doing the rounds. When will people learn that “Microsoft Windows” and “secure” should only ever appear in the same sentence when accompanied by the word “not”. Web hosting provider changing

Then again, Sophos have issued an ’emergency alert’ about it, which is fairly uncommon…. (read more)

Parents and Mozilla

Parents have read the link below and were thoroughly confused as to what Mozilla is all about. Will have to install it by stealth the next time I visit, I suppose. Perhaps being shown how much better it is at dealing with popups and security/privacy than Internet Explorer will make them Mozilla Converts in no… (read more)

Use Mozilla!

For what it’s worth, these web pages are rendered much better in Mozilla than in Internet Explorer – looks like there are quite a few stylesheet bugs in IE. Use Mozilla – here’s why!

First post

Have drastically redesigned these web pages, as will be apparent. Hope people like the blue theme … shame there’s not much new content, isn’t it? Maybe there’ll be something else here soon.
