I’ve bought myself a new monitor: it’s a Viewsonic VX912. Large, 19″ TFT, 1280×1024 resolution and a nice fast 12ms response time.

My previous monitor, a 19″ CRT, has been in my possession since it came bundled with a PC I bought in early 1998. Given how much the monitor market has changed in seven years, and how relatively good the old one is, it must have been really bleeding edge at the time I bought the PC. I guess I must have paid way too much for it.
So, if anyone local wants a 19″ CRT, please let me know a.s.a.p. Price is negotiable, but will be “nominal”. Exact specifications of the monitor available on request.
I have been looking at monitors for some time. What gets me is why there are not more wide screen monitors.
For my mind I plan to buy the middle sized Apple monitor, 23″ widescreen. Just waiting for it to plummet in price.
