Bird flu, all over the news at the moment as a result of a dead swan in Scotland. This morning, on BBC Breakfast News they interviewed three different people about “Bird Flu”. Don’t know the exact wording of what they were asked, but all three of them said (more or less),
“Well, I eat organic free-range chicken and eggs so I’m sure that’ll mean I’m safe.”
This shows cluelessness on some many different levels it’s just not funny. I think it’s time to seriously reconsider the introduction of the Stupidity Tax, folks.
These three clueless individuals represented The Public’s Opinion on Bird Flu, at least as presented by the BBC. What I’m not clear about is whether the BBC realise that their interviewees were all talking complete bollocks.
Don’t see what all the fuss is about..
so a bird flew … that’s what they do isn’t it?????? (well most of them)
😉
Permalinkno need for a stupid tax. Surely these people are already punished enough.
PermalinkOn the other hand, they won’t be needing their money much longer, so why not take it and put it towards a good cause.
Do you need any more evidence that Darwin was on to something?
There already is a stupid tax – it’s called ‘The National Lottery’….
