I’ve been thinking for a while about studying for a CCNA. It’s slightly tangential to my normal work and also to my hobby-time computing, but I think that’s part of the appeal. I feel that the more fundamental aspects of computer networking are things that I should know about.
I now have the study books and a large of amount of the material is quite familiar (IP networking, routing, subnetting etc.) but much of it is completely new. I’ll read the books and, assuming I’m confident and ambitious enough, I’ll apply to take the exams.
