Regarding the restore from backup, it worked. I’m relieved. This is why doing backups is a good idea. And in the process I decided that the AMANDA restore scripts are very well written too. That is all.

Following on in this saga: since Friday I have been taking a hefty dose of the anti-inflammatory tablets which are based on diclofenac. The clearest effect they are having is drowsiness: an hour or two after taking them, I get really sleepy. This is a bit annoying, but not really too much of a problem…. (read more)
